The Salvation Army has a great appreciation for wrap-around services and treating the whole person on the road to recovery. One of the most important steps can often be finding steady employment. In concert with our commitment to improve the Sacramento community, we offer two important job training opportunities. Both programs help to meet high industry demand while transforming the lives of people who have overcome homelessness, addiction and other serious life problems, and are ready to start new, productive lives.
We have partnered with LiUNA! (Laborers' International Union of Northern America) to offer our Construction Training Program hands-on training that provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the construction trades as a career path with the Labor Union.
Our Culinary Arts Training Program helps students develop entry-level kitchen skills so that they may successfully work in the food industry. Sacramento, known as the Farm to Table capital, is home to hundreds of establishments in the metro area, from pop-up catering to high-end restaurants. Sacramento has it all!
